WordPress releases security updates every 2-3 weeks. Popular plugins (Elementor, WooCommerce, Yoast, WPML) update at a similar frequency. Every update you skip is an open door for hackers, malware and compatibility issues.
But updating without control is also dangerous: a plugin that updates and breaks compatibility with your theme can take down your production site. That is why we apply all updates first in a staging environment, verify everything works, and only then push to production.
We maintain a log of every update applied: previous version, new version, date, test result. If something fails after an update, we can roll back in minutes because we know exactly what changed.
Backups: your insurance against disasters
We run daily automatic backups with 30-day retention. That means if tomorrow your site suffers an attack, a human error or a server failure, we can restore it to yesterday's state — or 15 days ago if the issue went undetected.
Backups include full database + files (plugins, theme, uploads, configuration). They are stored on a separate server from your website, because a backup on the same server as your site is like keeping the spare key inside the car.
